What Is the Milken-Penn GSE Competition?

Since its launch in 2010, the Milken-Penn GSE Competition has empowered mission-driven education ventures with more than $2 million in awards and countless mentorship opportunities. Backed by the Milken Family Foundation and Penn Graduate School of Education, it has a legacy of accelerating ideas that tackle inequities, drive innovation, and improve outcomes for learners at every level.

What Comes Next

Our team will join Catapult, the Catalyst @ Penn GSE’s virtual accelerator - refining our business model, engaging with expert mentors, and participating in workshops designed to sharpen our impact strategies.

The 2025 Cohort

This year’s cohort brings together 25 visionary ventures addressing challenges from educator wellbeing to AI-driven special education.

Scaling Our Impact

Being part of this competition is a huge milestone for I-Stem. We’re going to deepen and expand our programs - leveraging AI and tech to support people with disabilities (PwDs) across critical life moments in education and employability - and to share what we learn on the road to the Finals in September.
